HARDWICK — February 22, 2024 — Hardwick Select Board unanimously refers a proposed zoning bylaw amendment to the Planning Board. Chair Jeffrey S. Schaaf convened the February 22 meeting specifically to fulfill a requirement under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40A, Section 5, which mandates that the board submit any received zoning proposal to the Planning Board within 14 days. The board received the amendment, submitted by an applicant identified as Cella, on February 20. Schaaf told attendees the action was "pro forma following the law" and that the town would ultimately vote on the proposal at a later date. Clerk Zachary E. Spencer moved to acknowledge receipt and refer the matter; Vice Chair William F. Tinker seconded; the board voted unanimously and immediately adjourned.
